Five round blue diamonds are set in a line across the top of the band, each in its own small setting, and together they make up the full weight. They are opaque rather than transparent, a steely grey blue that sits flat against the warm gold plating instead of sparkling out of it. The band is plain and broad enough to carry them without further decoration, which is the right call for stones with this much presence and this little fire.
