A deep blue oval sapphire in a single diamond halo, suspended from an elongated bail that is itself set with diamonds and shaped to a marquise point. That bail matters: it carries the eye down to the stone instead of stopping at a plain loop, and it adds ten millimetres of sparkle above the halo. The sapphire is dark and saturated, closer to navy than cornflower, and fourteen karat white gold keeps it that way.
