An open heart traced entirely in round blue topaz, the stones set in shared prongs so metal barely shows between them and the outline reads as a continuous line of pale blue. Nothing fills the centre. At thirty six by thirty three millimetres the heart is large enough to sit as the clear focus of a neckline, and because it is open rather than solid it stays light against the skin.
