Two strands twist around one another to form an open circle: one carries marquise cut blue topaz laid end to end along its length, the other is pave set with small round white topaz. Where they cross, blue and white alternate around the ring, which keeps the eye travelling rather than settling in one place. The open centre means the pendant picks up whatever sits behind it, so it reads lighter than a solid disc of the same diameter.
