The web does the heavy lifting. A pierced disc of gold plated silver, cut with radiating spokes and looping cross threads, sits as the main station on a fine cable chain, and a small figured spider is fixed beside it on a short bar. The emerald is the spider's body: a round stone, green, and no larger than eight hundredths of a carat.
That is a deliberately small point of color against a lot of warm yellow metal, and the contrast is the entire idea. The openwork keeps the station light and lets skin read through the web. The chain runs 7.5 inches and closes with a lobster clasp, which sets the motif off center on the wrist.
