Three cabochons of very different character are bezel set together in an asymmetric group: an oval charoite on the left, lavender streaked with white; a pear shaped malachite above, banded in light and dark green; and a round lapis below, deep blue with flecks of gold pyrite running through it. A single small colourless stone is set where the three bezels meet. None are faceted, so this ring is entirely about pattern and colour, and each of the three carries a pattern of its own.
