All Gemstones are Natural in Origin
The face of this ring is a wide round disc of openwork, built in layers. A round opal cabochon holds the middle, five oval opal cabochons sit around it, and marquise cut amethysts cross in pairs between them with a small round diamond pinned at each crossing. A pave line of diamonds runs the full outer rim and closes the composition.
The opals return play of color in green and gold, which the purple of the amethyst throws into relief. Sterling silver is kept narrow between the stones so the disc stays open and airy for its diameter, and at just over five and a half carats it covers the width of the finger the way a cocktail ring should.
