Two rows of oval rubies sit side by side down the length of this bracelet, doubling the width of an ordinary tennis line and packing the red into a solid band. The rows are broken at intervals by narrow upright bars pave set with white topaz, which cut the red into segments and give the eye somewhere bright to land. Ruby accounts for 16.70 carats, the white topaz for 0.04.
Each ruby is held in its own set of prongs rather than shared claws, so the outline of every oval stays visible and the band reads as many stones instead of a single mass of color. White metal shows only as fine claw tips and the vertical bars. The bracelet closes with a hinged box clasp and a folding safety catch at 7.5 inches.
