Two rows, not one. Oval rubies run in parallel lines the whole way around the wrist, every stone claw set, and the silver bridges between the two rows carry small square cut white topaz at regular intervals, so a thin line of white runs down the middle of all that red.
Doubling the row is what makes close to twenty carats read the way it does: the band is wide across the top of the wrist and the color runs continuous rather than interrupted. The rubies are a strong pinkish red and sit close enough that the two rows behave as one surface. A box clasp with a safety catch closes the 7.75 inch length.
