Two worked stations interrupt an otherwise fine gold plated chain: a pierced web drawn in flat wire, and below it a small spider whose round body is a single tanzanite. The stone shifts between violet and blue as the light moves across it, which is the way the species behaves, and at 0.08 carats it functions as a point of color rather than the subject.
The metalwork is what carries the bracelet. Both stations lie flat so the openwork of the web stays legible against skin, and the chain closes at 7.5 inches.
