All Gemstones are Natural in Origin
The cross is built entirely from small round emeralds, three clustered at the end of each arm and more running the length of the shaft, with 1.04 carats divided between them. Grouping the stones in threes at the terminals gives each arm a rounded, budded finish rather than a squared one, and the effect at 35 by 19 millimeters is closer to a botanical cross than a plain Latin one. Green sits well against gold plating; the warm metal pushes the emerald toward its yellower side.
